My Warby Parker Experience

One of the more annoying things in life is dealing with Doctors (and car mechanics). It’s the only two consumer industries that are completely unregulated. Not knowing how much something costs before you do it, is well, ridiculous. Eye Doctors, are particularly annoying. Plus you have to stand in their office, or go to another store, and stand around like a jagbag looking at yourself in the mirror. The truth is, “the new glasses decision” is a big deal, and you deserve the hour of looking at yourself in the mirror and making the choice. I haven’t even brought up the ridiculous prices of glasses, which is a whole ‘nother issue.

So in comes Warby Parker. The website is well, like everything in today’s world, brilliant. You select up to five pairs of glasses that they mail to you in an awesome case (for free). They have clear lenses and allow you to decide which one(s) you want to purchase. I ordered my box of five on Saturday, and it was there promptly on Wednesday morning. It gets better.. the glasses cost $95 each. That’s it. Every pair is the same price. PLUS, with every purchase, they give a pair to a person in need.

My case arrived today with a card that said “The Next Five Days.. are about to get much better”. Well guess what, day one was awesome, and the next day that will be great is when my new Warby Parker glasses arrive! If you can pry your prescription from the cold dead hands of your Optometrist (without them wanting you first born child), hop on WarbyParker.com to have an unbelievable user experience!

PS- haven’t decided which pair to pick yet, so if you have a suggestion, definitely tweet it at me @MaxJCrowley .. the “Churchill”, pair #5, is pretty money. We’ll see.
